When does the new program begin?

This year’s program begins January 1, 2017 and runs through September 30, 2017.

What if I was hired after January 1, 2017?

Healthy St. Paul is the City of St. Paul’s wellness program for employees. It is a resource for you when you choose to take an active step toward achieving your health goals. Participation in this program is voluntary.

Completion of the below listed components will make you eligible for an additional $75/month into the VEBA/HRA if you elect the Open Access health insurance plan in 2017.

For all new employees becoming benefit eligible on or after March 1, 2017

  1. You must complete a biometric screening and have your physician send the results to HealthPartners. Required biometrics are blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body mass index (BMI.)
    Results can be taken from numbers measured by your doctor from March 1, 2017, through September 30th, 2017. To obtain a biometric screening fax form, click here.
  2. You must complete an on-line health assessment. To complete: Log on to www.healthpartners.com Enter your username and password. Click “Go”. If this is your first time logging on, click “Sign up for my HealthPartners.”
    Select the Health & Wellness tab and click on the blue “Get Started” button.
    Complete the health assessment. You can immediately review your results.

Both components must be completed by September 30th, 2017 to earn the incentive in 2018.

What do I have to do to complete the Healthy Saint Paul Well-Being Program this year?

Employees enrolled in the HealthPartners insurance plan offered by the City are eligible to participate. The program includes completion of biometric screening, an online health assessment and three phone coaching calls. You will initiate a discovery call in order to be matched with the coach who will best suit your needs and goals.

Are there required numbers that my biometrics results must meet?

No. Immediately following the worksite screening, a health professional will review your results with you. If your results are outside the recommended guidelines, you may want to choose to focus on this with a health coach.

I prefer to be screened at my own physician’s office. Can I do that instead of at work?

Yes. You can submit your results from a screening with your private physician that was performed between March 1, 2016 – February 28, 2017. Provide your physician with our Biometric Screening Fax form to submit your results to HealthPartners. The physician fax form can be found by clicking on the tab at the left. How do I know that my doctor has faxed my results?

Check your Well-being page on healthpartners.com/wellbeing early and often! Click on Health Assessment and Well-Being Activities. View the green box on the right. If your results were received by HealthPartners, you will have a check mark next to Biometrics. You may also call HealthPartners at 952.883.7800 to verify it has been received. The DEADLINE to receive results from your physician is February 28, 2017.

What is the incentive for participating in the Well-being Program?

The real incentive is better health! The bonus: For completing the online health assessment and biometric screening, you will receive an additional VEBA contribution of $25/mo ($300/year). If you go on to complete three phone coaching sessions, you will receive a total of $75/mo ($900/year.)

Can I participate in just the phone coaching to receive the $600 incentive?

No. In order to receive the incentive for phone coaching, you will need to complete the online health assessment and biometric screening by the deadline.

When will the incentive be deposited into my VEBA account?

Monthly deposits will begin January, 2018.
